Dr. John A. Cawley is the practice owner and a 1982 honor graduate of the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians and a member of the Association of Reptilian & Amphibian Veterinarians. Dr. Cawley is the devoted father of two boys and shares his household with 2 dogs, 2 cats, a ball python, and a plated lizard. He also enjoys following Auburn football, traveling, spending time outdoors with nature, and fishing with his sons.
Briana has been at our animal hospital since 2006. She enjoys going out with her friends, watching scary movies and spending time with her pets. She currently has 2 cats (Ashton & Boo Boo) and a dog named Gertie.
Debbie has been at the animal hospital since 2004. She loves the beach, baking, and spending time with her family. Her 3 kids have had many pets including snakes, iguanas, hamsters, and guinea pigs. She presently has 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 guinea pigs.
Erin Erin has been working with animals since 1999. She enjoys playing tennis, reading, helping with wildlife, and spending time with her family. Currently, she has a dog, two lizards, two birds, a gerbil, and fish.
Cheryl has over 16 years of grooming experience and has been with the animal hospital since 1998. She is the mother of a son, Evin, and a dog, “Choochie“. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Gina has been a part of the animal hospital staff both part-time and full-time periodically through the years since it first opened. Besides helping with pets, she enjoys traveling, reading and writing, nature-watching, wildlife care and conservation, and the arts. She has an associate degree in Animal Health Technology and more recently returned to school to complete her BS in English Education. She loves her sometimes noisy household consisting of 2 sons, a large dog, a cat, a couple of parrots, some finches and fish.
Dr. John Lewis is our other dedicated veterinarian who fills in for Dr. Cawley whenever he has to be away. He received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1984 followed by his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 from the University of Georgia as well. When he is not here, he devotes his time to his family, his canine and feline pets, and his mobile practice ; he was also voted a five Star Veterinarian in the November 2010 issue of Atlanta Magazine .
